Business Strategy, Brand Identity

Alado is a travel app for young adventurers, offering an affordable and easy way to explore the world. With simple monthly savings plans—easier than a Netflix subscription—Alado helps Gen Z save money to turn their travel dreams into reality. Featuring flexible investment options, including student and group plans, it is tailored for different budgets.





This project strengthened my strategic planning skills and allowed me to merge design with business strategy. Managing the process from concept to execution enhanced both my creativity and problem-solving abilities.

Inspired by subscription models like Netflix and Spotify, Alado functions as a loyalty program with personalized savings plans for young travelers. The name "Alado" (meaning "with wings" in Portuguese) embodies the spirit of freedom and exploration.



Through bold typography and vibrant illustrations, I crafted a cohesive and dynamic visual identity across all touchpoints, ensuring a seamless user experience from the app to marketing materials. 



I aimed to capture the bold, dynamic spirit of Generation Z with a vibrant, high-contrast color palette and striking typography. Designed to stand out in busy airport environments, this visual identity represents innovation, technology, flexibility, and empowerment.

Through research into airline branding, I noticed most airlines use conservative blues, reds, and neutrals, which blend into the corporate atmosphere of airports. In contrast, Alado’s neon hues bring a fresh, youthful energy that grabs attention. This distinct color language communicates a lively, dynamic feel that resonates with the excitement of travel.

The Alado app offers a streamlined, vibrant experience. Starting with welcoming, sign-up, and login screens, users are guided effortlessly into trip planning and saving. Key features include a ticket system, search engine, and group-saving tools. Personalized recommendations, savings balances, and profile analysis tailor each user’s journey. Apple Wallet integration and exclusive airport discounts complete the travel experience.




Alado’s vibrant branding cuts through the dynamic airport environment. The bold color palette stands out, ensuring the brand is instantly recognizable and appealing to young travelers in busy terminals.







Designing Alado allowed me to translate my understanding of Gen Z’s travel aspirations into a vibrant, user-centric brand. By combining intuitive UX with bold visuals, I created a cohesive experience that stands out in both digital and physical spaces. This project reinforced my ability to deliver strategic design that not only looks impactful but also connects deeply with its audience.
